The quilt, made with the University of the Ozarks, Arkansas colors, as it hung on the design wall while I was trying to decide where I would applique the circle with the eagle. Other than the white fabric eagle head, all detail was done with thread of varying thickness giving the eagle a three dimensional look. My grandboy loves the quilt and even slept with it until his mom took it to give it the first wash with a dye catching sheet. It is important to take measures to keep dyes from running during the first couple washes if the fabric has not been washed before being made into a quilt.
