A Few More Completed Projects to Mark Off the 2017 List

I’m excited I could mark off one item for March and 2 so far for April.  The Mystery Quilt completed this month is talked about in a post of it’s own.  Be sure and check it out in recent posts.

Last weekend I also completed another mystery quilt started way back in 2012/13.  The top was done probably in 2013, but never made it to the top of the quilt pile until recently.  Quilting and binding this brought back memories of piecing the small blocks to combine to make the larger blocks!  Was not so much fun, but seeing how nice the design is, I’m almost tempted to pull out the pattern and make it again in a different colorway, although the orange and white is quite pretty!  The backing fabric is a fun white with orange/rust freckles randomly covering the area.  Absolutely perfect for this quilt top.  I was stumped on what to quilt on this top and eventually turned to my favorite dogwood flower design and used variegated orange and yellow thread on top, a solid orange/rust on the backing.  Enjoy the pictures and if interested in purchasing this nice lap quilt, it will be listed on Etsy at StitcherMade in early May.
