Last weekend I also completed another mystery quilt started way back in 2012/13. The top was done probably in 2013, but never made it to the top of the quilt pile until recently. Quilting and binding this brought back memories of piecing the small blocks to combine to make the larger blocks! Was not so much fun, but seeing how nice the design is, I’m almost tempted to pull out the pattern and make it again in a different colorway, although the orange and white is quite pretty! The backing fabric is a fun white with orange/rust freckles randomly covering the area. Absolutely perfect for this quilt top. I was stumped on what to quilt on this top and eventually turned to my favorite dogwood flower design and used variegated orange and yellow thread on top, a solid orange/rust on the backing.
